Our Client is an independent distributor of speciality chemical raw materials.
They currently have a vacancy for a Sales & Marketing Coordinator (Internal) – Chemicals. This position will be office based in Hertfordshire and is a full-time permanent role.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe position will entail regular customer contact on the telephone and developing new business via growth from existing suppliers and the acquisition of new onesQuestionnaires and technical enquiriesQuotation and new business developmentLiaison with existing customers / suppliers Initial contact point for prospective customers Following up leads, quotations and sample evaluationsMarketing and new business developmentAwareness of market conditions and trends including competitor activity and market share relating to individual productsStock managementPlacing and progressing ordersMarket research for new products in existing market and existing products in new marketsProvide market information to suppliers
Qualifications and ExperienceBSc or equivalent in Chemistry or similar. Applications from new Science Graduates (or equivalent) who wish to move into a technical / commercial office based role will be very welcomeExcellent telephone manner and interpersonal skillsStrong IT skills are essentialCommercially aware CreativeEnthusiasm and a flexible approach are sought for this role Good communication skillsAbility to work within a teamAbility to use initiative and act independentlyComputer literate
In return our Client is offering a competitive package including a basic salary of between £22,000 and £24,000 per annum plus benefits.
