Our client, a well-established successful law firm with multiple local sites across Merseyside is seeking a qualified Family Law Solicitor/Legal Executive, based in West Kirkby, to also cover Heswall offices. A qualified individual with 3-5 years PQE and several years of experience running their own caseload in the Family Law area is sought for the position.

With no legal aid work, 100% of the work is private client. You will work towards quarterly goals within the company, and a bonus payment may be made upon attainment of these goals.

The Role
Replacing a long term retiring employee, you will be able to move into a busy role and take the lead, you will manage a range of family law matters including financial issues, divorce, children & cohabitation (no childcare work, but there is children act work). Excellent networking and client-sourcing skills would be an advantage but are not essential.

The Person
You must be able to hit the ground running as the firm has an extremely busy Family Law Department, therefore the role would not be suitable for anyone requiring day-to-day training.
You will be ambitious and keen to help develop the department, willing to contribute towards the success of the company by having input, sharing your ideas on ways to boost business.
Comfortable with networking, and developing a good referral network.

Experience and knowledge of private law children matters, financial cases and court work is essential, and experience of Solcase Case Management System would be an advantage.
Panel accreditation preferred.

The Company
Our client is an independent law firm which have been established for over 100 years and are based in Liverpool. They cover numerous areas of law, including property, medical negligence, family, personal injury & more. They have a large network of offices across Merseyside and the Wirral, which means they offer services to clients throughout England and Wales. They care enough to go the extra mile, such as making visits to hospitals, homes and nursing home to visit disabled and elderly clients. The company is led by a positive, effective and supportive CEO, and has an ethos that puts clients at the heart of everything they do and their priority is making sure each client has the best possible experience.
They have a loyal workforce, and a very low turnover of staff, they host summer BBQs, and generous parties where your taxis are paid for.

The salary & package
The salary is fully dependent upon experience, and the company are happy to have salary discussions at interview stage, however our estimate is that it is likely to be in the region of £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, plus bonus potential.

2% match contribution pension

Standard working hours would be 9 a.m. to 5.15 p.m. each day

Holidays, 20 days’ holiday initially (climbing to 23 days’ holiday after 5 years’ continuous service/3 to 4 years PQE, further increasing to 25 days after 10 years service/5 years+ PQE) plus bank holidays.
The company also closes between Christmas & New Year, and this time off is allowed without being deducted from your holiday allowance.
