Baltic Training and Yellowphin Web Design are delighted to be recruiting for an Apprentice Web Developer to join their team of experts and bring some fresh new ideas to the business.

Yellowphin specialise in everything from bespoke web design to company branding. Working with some of the largest names across the UK including Topshop, the NHS and Land Rover. Yellowphin predominantly work with web technologies suchas ASP.NET, Xamarin and WordPress to name a few. Yellowphin are definitely making their digital mark across the nation.

You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:

  • Working on front-end web development.
  • Compiling research.
  • Supporting senior members of the team.
  • Creating web content.
  • Basic website testing.
  • Creating social media content.
  • You will be supported to manage website content and SEO.
  • Search Engine Optimisation and Link Building.
  • You will be conducting keyword and competitor reserch.

Training to be provided:

  • Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Software & Web Development
  • Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence
  • Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Systems and Principles
  • Level 2 Functional Skills (English, Maths and ICT)

Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • An understanding of C#/ASP.Net would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of Photoshop,
  • Experience of website design.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritisea varied and changing workload.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop within the role.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision.

Upon completion of the programme, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our level 4 programme and take your training even further.

Salary, hours and benefits

  • £132 per week
  • Full time (37.5 hours per week)
  • 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays)

Location and travel
Their office is located in the Bispham area of Blackpool and can be accessed via buses and trams. Their is also free parking onsite.
