We are now seeking an experienced Fire Commissioning Engineer responsible for fire detection systems, PAVA and disabled refuge systems. Operating out of our Romford office, this is to cover an area across London, therefore a valid Driving Licence is essential. The role will entail client training and handover of analogue addressable and conventional, fire detection systems, emergency lighting, HSSD, fixed extinguishing systems and nurse call systems within clients` premises and any other related product, whilst continually promoting Chubb`s products and services. The successful Engineer will be an approved electrician, having served a minimum 3 year apprenticeship in electrical contracting or having achieved equivalent academic qualifications to City & Guilds or equivalent standard. It is essential that you possess knowledge of all applicable current British standards as well as knowledge of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, how to program and operate a wide range of analogue addressable control panels and the associated detection devices. As a flexible, team player, you will be able and willing to participate in out of hour`s standby and call out rotas with a good level of physical fitness as manual handling and working at heights may be involved. You will also be able to demonstrate the following qualities: problem solving skills, excellent communication skills, good presentation (ensuring company vehicle and uniform are kept clean and smart in order to always promote a professional image), ability to work on own initiative, a good understanding of graphics and networking, capable of following set procedures and an accomplished level of written & numeric skills.
