A lovely primary school in Preston is looking for an experienced Intervention Teacher to work with a Year 6 class to raise attainment in English on a part-time basis (mornings only).

An excellent primary school in Preston is looking for an experienced Intervention Teacher to work with upper key stage 2 classes. This school is focused on providing each pupil with the opportunity to reach their full academic potential. In the last two years they have had huge success with the key appointment of intervention teachers. The Senior Leadership Team work with all staff and assist every staff member in all aspects of the school.

Teacher and Role Information:

You will mainly be working with upper key stage 2 pupils who need more focus on progressing academically. You will be expected to confidently follow other teacher's plans, but you will also have the ability to lead and adapt those lessons plans to what suit the student's questions and ability.

You will also have good behaviour and classroom management and will be able to maintain pupils focus on work. Your objective is to raise levels of understanding across the Year 5/6 classes, and also help with self-confidence and enjoying school.

Ideally the school are looking for someone with a proven track record of teaching English to SATs level and beyond. This schools has many 'gifted and talented' pupils and are ideally looking for someone who has either taught SATs or the KS3 English curriculum recently.
