We are looking for an driven Assistant Buyer across our Accessories or Jewellery department, it’s a fast paced and diverse role and when we say that two days are never the same we are not kidding!

There’s a lot to get excited about as you will be able to work closely with some great Brands such as Lulu Guinness, Radley, Links of London, Lola Rose and Orla Kiely to name but a few, whilst helping us to constantly improve and grow on our ranges.

You will provide creative and administrative support to the Associate Buyer and Buyer in developing product ranges to meet sales, margin and stock targets within a specific product/category area.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience of the buying process, working closely with the Associate Buyer and Buyer you will be responsible for your own categories within the Accessories or Jewellery departments. You will be buying and developing the ranges, manage category related administrative processes that are time critical to the business. You will collate and present product information, sales information, trend packs and/or mood boards as appropriate, including the preparation for Today’s Special Value meetings (TSV) Business Strategy meetings (BSM), Open To Buy meetings (OTB) and Merchandising Strategy Meetings. You will Produce Range Review packs, undertake Market Reports and Competitor Shopping analysis and bring suggestions of new ideas/products to the team.

You will be required to have good product understanding to enable you to prepare Guest Presenters before a live show. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be the main point of contact for suppliers, as well as liaising with other departments within the organisation. Experience of liaising with suppliers is essential.

Candidates should have experience within a head office buying environment, ideally at BA or Assistant Buyer level. It is essential for the successful candidate to have a good understanding and experience of managing a critical path. Trend awareness with a passion for product and an understanding of the retail buying function are both key. Good PC skills are necessary for this role, especially Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong presentation skills are important.
