Our client is a leading Digital agency that work with some major brands, helping them to really build their Digital presence through the crafting and coding of websites that don’t just look amazing, but are technically brilliant too. Due to growth we are looking for a new UX Designer to join their talented team. Ideally you will have a few years of strong UX / Front End development experience and be adept at creating a great user experience.

Working as part of the wider delivery team of digital, content and front end designers and alongside our experienced back end team, you’ll be able to lead small and medium projects and provide solid support on large projects.

In this role you will:

·Deliver high quality project work and support the evolution of best practise and standards.

·Where needed be client facing, responsible for presenting your work, taking feedback and critique and helping to guide our clients to the best solutions.

·Contribute to the evolution of the UX aspects of our work and ensure it is robust, progressive and commercially strong.

·Plan and conduct (on your own or in support of senior team members) stakeholder interviews, workshops and audience research.

·Work collaboratively with other disciplines to plan user experiences that will delight users and convert well.

·Define information architectures, taxonomies and navigation structures

·Create UX documentation as required; for example personas, user journeys, sitemaps, process flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes etc

·Review projects throughout design and development for UX quality, usability, and conversion.

·Select, plan, and perform appropriate user research and testing activities for project requirements and timescales.

·Work with the client services team to plan project activities, and estimate costs.

·Attend client meetings to present work and recommendations

·Contribute toward the development of UX process, guidelines, templates and training.

Main skills and experience

·Have understanding of persuasion, usability, and information architecture

·Display qualitative and quantitative user research techniques (user testing, card sorting, survey-based techniques, etc) both direct and remote (using remote user testing software like WhatUsersDo etc)

·Create UX outputs (user personas, user journeys, user process flows, wireframes/sketches and prototypes using Axure)

·Be able to comfortably discuss and explore UX concepts with team members and clients, demonstrating an ability to think creatively

·Be one of those UX designers that’s also very able to take wireframes through to great visual designs using Photoshop/Sketch etc, this would be an advantage but not essential

·Creation of in-browser prototype using basic HTML/CSS would also help!

·Have some understanding of Google Analytics, and heatmapping/customer experience analytics tools (eg Crazy Egg, Inspectlet etc)

·Have an understanding of accessibility and how to design for diverse audience needs

·Have an evidenced understanding of how organic search optimisation can affect UX and IA.
