Our prestigious Automotive client based in Whitley, Coventry is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Hardware & Software Engineer to work within our Clients ever expanding Powertrain department on a full time basis.

This is a brilliant opportunity for the chosen candidate to work in a very modern and luxurious working environment. The successful Hardware & Software Engineer will be working a 40 hour week with access to onsite parking.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project management and delivery of Transmission Controls software and hardware for new vehicle programmes
  • Validation of the Control Unit hardware and software on Vehicles and HIL Test Rigs to new programme timing milestones
  • Documentation of Control Module Engineering Sign-off to Design Verification Procedures
  • Production release of Control Unit hardware and software into the Manufacturing and Service environments
  • Development of improved test processes and procedures through automation or other efficiency gain
  • Key Skills Required for Submission:
  • Good Electronics background with a proven record of on time project delivery of Electronic Control Units (in an Automotive or similar environment)
  • Wide experience and knowledge of the specification, validation testing and engineering sign-off for Automotive Control Unit hardware and software
  • Experience of leading meetings with the supplier and programme team to coordinate project delivery and the resolution of project and technical issues
  • Skills Required:

  • Ability to plan and manage the delivery of complex new Control unit programmes to vehicle programme milestones
  • Good problem solving techniques and skills, including experience of fault finding/system de-bugging
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Good PC/IT skills
  • Flexible, committed, self starter and a strong team worker
  • Proven supplier management skills, capable of running supplier project and technical meetings and managing the resolution of issues with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Vehicle Architecture and system interfaces
  • Knowledge of Flexray, CAN & LIN communications
  • Good experience and application of requirements capture techniques
  • Knowledge and understanding of WERS r an equivalent Bill of Material system
  • Experience Required:
  • Experience of CAN communication systems and analysis tools (CANalyser, INCA, Matlab, etc)
  • Education Required:Relevant qualifications in Automotive Engineering, Electronics, or Control Systems (Degree preferred) Additional Information:
