A fantastic new opportunity to join a world leading provider of user centric video streaming services to the broadcast media sector. This role lends itself to a Linux Engineer (CentoOS/RHEL) / Linux Administrator with additional skills in software migration and TCP/IP networking or VoD.

As a Product Specialist you'll gain expertise in a complex SaaS platform and working with cutting edge video streaming workflows for a range of customer facing projects.

Overview and Responsibilities for the Product Specialist

  • Linux administration and networking (at least three years prior experience) including virtual environments
  • Roll-out and maintenance of the core product - a Java based SaaS Offering
  • Troubleshoot live production issues using standard Linux tools and scripting (for example python, perl, php)
  • Support hardware/software migration projects
  • Undertake customer projects including on-site installations
  • Support the on-boarding of broadcasters onto a dynamic ad insertion platform (full training provided)


Summary of Skills & Experience Required

  • A solid understanding of the fundamentals needed for running Linux systems
  • Linux support and networking skills - DNS/HTTP/TCP/IP stack
  • Strong OS/ Server build skills including build automation and experience in virtual environments
  • Shell scripting (perl, python ideally)
  • Experience working in high availability systems
  • Client facing - ability to express concepts clearly and concisely by email or verbally
