Job description

The role involves the following responsibilities:

•Gathering feedback and requirements from clients and internal stakeholders

•Working with the Product Team to prioritise feedback and define the product roadmap

•Leading detailed research and in-depth technical analysis to define user stories and functional specifications for product development

•Providing management and supervision throughout the life cycle of individual projects, including working closely with engineers in technical planning and throughout the implementation process

In addition to these general duties, the candidate is expected to:

•Become the Product lead for a particular area of our software. This would typically involve leading technical research into emerging technologies and advising upon the potential implementation of such technology, managing the roadmap of that area and taking the lead on requirement gathering, specification writing and supervising implementations within this area

•Engage with external stakeholders, including clients, data providers and other partners. We also focus overseas, specifically within the APAC region



•Direct experience as a business analyst or product manager in a software company focusing on investigations software

•A degree in a numerate, scientific or data intensive discipline

•Experience supervising and directing small teams of software engineers

•Significant experience in project delivery using Agile methodologies

•Familiarity with Git and Jira or similar product management tools

•Knowledge of as many of the following technologies as possible: .NET, C#, WPF, Angular2, Elasticsearch, Visual Studio

General Skills:

•Self motivated and ability to take initiative

•Ability to prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and a major language in the APAC region

•Excellent research skills and ability to work with new concepts and skills quickly

Salary and entitlements:

·£35,000 per annum

·25 days leave per year, not including bank holidays.
