Main duties:

Develop and maintain multi-level relationships within customers, partners and distributors.

•Develop an advanced understanding of the business and Vendor products and services, programmes, go to market strategy, sales methodology and licensing.

•Develop an advanced understanding of the Vendor and Distributor portals, licensing information, promotional offerings, contract information, ordering and quoting processes etc.

•Support the external sales team in managing administrative aspects of customer engagements including compiling and providing quotes.

•Utilise a CRM system and all necessary applications to manage and optimise sales opportunities and maintain customer profiles.

•Manage all stages of customer renewals and licence subscriptions.

•Provide support for sales and marketing activities i.e, events, customer communications, newsletters etc.

•Participate in monthly and quarterly sales forecast and closing review meetings with the company and vendor sales management teams.

•Attend relevant internal and external product training.

Training to be provided (qualification to be completed):

City and Guilds Technical Sales Level 3 Qualification.

Help with Functional Skills where required.

Skills Required:

IT literate with a working knowledge of MS Office

Previous experience in a customer facing role would be advantageous

Demonstrate a high customer service-oriented attitude with an open / friendly personality and strong listening skills

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work well with others as part of a team as well as working independently on assigned tasks to defined deadlines.

Demonstrate ability to priorities workload to effectively meet Service Level Agreements. Display tenacity and diligence in following up on outstanding issues to ensure customer satisfaction.

Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Must be able to maintain professional standards with regards to attendance, personal accountability and integrity.

Understanding of the cloud networking technology marketplace and industry trends would be advantageous.

Must demonstrate the ability to learn job-specific processes and procedures.

Demonstrated ability to effectively address basic problems/conflicts demonstrating a sense of urgency when required. Ability to present issues, status, and/or recommendations with clarity.

Must be able to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity.

Must be an enthusiastic person, keen to learn and not afraid to ask questions.

Must be happy to commute up to one hour either by car or public transport.

Driving licence would be advantageous.

Qualifications Required:

Requirements (Education, training and experience)

5 GCSE’s A-C, must include Maths and English

IT literate with a working knowledge of MS Office

Previous experience in a customer facing role would be advantageous

Minimum age of 17

Weekly Working Pattern:

(hours per day/shift patter/start & end time):10 – 5 Mon – Thurs, 10 – 4 Friday

Weekly Working Hours: 34 Hours

Expected Apprenticeship Duration: 12 months
