You are a talented and experienced Automation QA Engineer who has been working in an Agile Java environment. You have proven experience in developing automation scripts using industry best practices and frameworks for a variety of user interface components including Web browser clients, desktop clients and Web Services APIs.

You specialise in assuring the quality of Rich Internet Applications. You’ve created automated test libraries which are not only functional but also “clean”, well-constructed and maintainable. You’re never comfortable with the new feature until your automation libraries cover the key functionality.

Our UI Automation framework is written in Selenium WebDriver, so if you have skills in that area then that would be a definite advantage. You also have other skills such as “REST testing”, Java and SQL for testing the back end & API testing.

You’re passionate about Software Quality and have explored various automation test frameworks and tools, working with some professionally and keeping an eye on others. You’ve had the chance to compare how they work for different problems and have opinions about what works best in what situation. You’re also completely comfortable working on automation as well as testing and exploring the software manually.

You like working in an Agile (Scrum) development environment and take responsibility for getting things done in the course of a sprint. When you say something will be done you almost always keep your word. When you don’t there’s always a good reason why and you learn from the experience to minimise the chances it will happen again. You’re also aware that the reality of business means the need to be flexible so you’re open to changing the plan if required, while making sure those asking for changes are aware of the consequences.

You will want to join a 15+ person strong, tight knit, experienced & happy QA team with plenty of learning opportunities & career progression on offer in a UK home grown, globally recognised software house!
