The Key Skills/Experience required for the Senior Support Analyst position include:

  • Windows Server (2008 and 2012)
  • Active Directory including group policies, security and distribution group management.
  • Exchange including mailbox management, configuration and troubleshooting
  • SQL Server/ MySQL query (and report writing)
  • A good understanding of networking and troubleshooting
  • Linux and Windows exposure
  • Telephone system support
  • Desktop/Laptop/Mobiles/Tablet/printer support
  • A good understanding of DNS and DHCP management
  • The main focus responsibilities include:

    • Provide 2nd Line support for a challenging and busy environment across multiple sites
    • Provide application support However
    • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other members of the small but busy support team
    • In addition to liaising with internal users, the support team are responsible for dealing with client issues and those of external users of their system. Therefore applicants need to have some experience of front line support and dealing with a wide scope of user type in an efficient and friendly manner.

    The Senior IT Support Analyst will be closely working with various teams, including different development teams, the QA team, and the infrastructure team, to evaluate and escalate or resolve issues as needed, therefore good troubleshooting and issue management skills are essential to be successful in the role.

    This new Senior IT Support Analyst position is based just north of Reading in the south of Oxfordshire and is easily commutable from Reading, Oxford, Wallingford, Didcot, Abingdon, High Wycombe, Wokingham, Bracknell, Thame, Newbury, Swindon, Faringdon and many more locations.
