A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our growing IT team as we advance rapidly towards cloud based solutions. This amazing opportunity will enable the successful applicant to help shape our Network infrastructure as we revolutionize St Austell Brewery. Full time role, however contract may be considered short term. About St Austell Brewery St Austell Brewery is an independent family-owned business based in St Austell and was established in 1851. It is now one of the largest private companies in Cornwall with an annual turnover in excess of £155 million. The company owns over 170 pubs and hotels throughout the South West. It also produces critically acclaimed beer which is sold both nationally and internationally. In addition to brewing, it also has a successful wholesale division selling to over 2,000 free trade outlets throughout the South West. In 2016 St Austell acquired the award-winning Bath Ales Brewery, extending its footprint to become the most successful privately owned brewery in the Southwest. Senior Network Support Engineer The main purpose of the role will be deliver 2nd/3rd line support and to assist in BAU and the delivery small to medium size projects (new office/site installations), alongside other infrastructure improvements and support. We are looking for an intelligent and resourceful person with the ability to work in a close knit team as well as by their own initiative. Experience and skill requirements: - 2nd/3rd line support experience with LAN/WAN including hubs, switches, routers, WiFi APs (Cisco, Meraki, Netgear, etc.) - Strong knowledge of Cisco networking (routers and switches), DNS, DHCP, - Previous experience configuring network security firewalls, (Dell Sonicwall) VPNs, testing and vulnerability assessments - Familiarity with and configuring of Solarwinds monitoring. - High level of Telephony knowledge, especially SIP experience (Siemens, Unify) - Strong experience with IP addressing, VLANs, routing, switching and resilient network design - Experience performing Wi-Fi surveys for optimal wireless coverage - Experience with network performance management and content filtering solutions - Experience of site moves / office relocation / re-cabling & patch management - Demonstrable Windows Support background, Wintel, Hyper-V, Exchange, Active Directory - Microsoft Certifications ideal (Would be beneficial) - Supplier management expertise - communicating and coordinating telecoms providers - A proactive attitude and the ability to assist with all levels of hardware / network support - Ability to operate autonomously on customer sites, with good customer service skills - Diligence in installation standards - cabling, labeling and documentation - ITIL and PCI-DSS awareness beneficial - Role will involve some travel around South West - CCNA/CCNP /CISCO/VOIP/Sonic wall experience essential.
