My client is a very prestigious independent school based in East Sussex and is set in an area of natural outstanding beauty.
Your new role
You will be working within a marketing team, reporting to the Head of PR and Events. This very busy and hardworking team are passionate about delivering communications and events that represent the school to the highest standards. You will have a variety of duties, mainly surrounding external events that raise the profile of the school to prospective parents.
You will also be involved with:
- Brand Compliance
- Stock control
- Supplier Management
- Digital Database management
- Website administration
What you'll need to succeed
Experience of the Independent school market would be an advantage, but also someone wanting to learn how student attraction strategies are implemented would also be considered. You will be called upon to work outside of core hours and some weekends (events), so the ideal candidate will be flexible in their approach to work commitments and understands the rigours of running such events. You will also be a confident people-person, highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy. At interview, you may be asked to demonstrate your excellent written and verbal communication skills through a competency based task. You will also have a high level of computer competency, principally Microsoft Office (but basic skills in Excel, Mail Merge and/or Photoshop would also be desirable as is a willingness to learn new skills such as website uploading). Desirable characteristics include the ability to take a good photograph, demonstrable understanding of branding and an ability to identify and articulate what constitutes good design. You will also be a highly professional approach to work with an ability to demonstrate resilience and a determination to 'get the job done'.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a basic salary of £25,000 for a typical 40 hour week (although flexibility to work in the evenings and at weekends is A MUST.) You will receive a very generous 38 days holiday (including bank hols) and is a full 52 week position. You will have access to parking facilities onsite and FREE lunch every day!
