As IT Web Application Support Analyst you will help provide first and second line support and assist in the maintenance of a large and dynamic web estate, utilising a number of differing online technologies and Content Management Systems such as SharePoint and Umbraco. You will be carrying out first and second line support in our Worthing Office to support the maintenance, monitoring and enhancement of in-house and 3rd party applications.

This role is based in our Worthing office, but ad hoc travel to our other locations in Crawley and/or London may be required.

An exciting opportunity to join an expanding and dynamic software delivery team within the Equiniti Group’s Shared IT department – Equiniti Technology Solutions. The Web Operations Team deliver and support web solutions for the Equiniti Group, ranging from small event driven web pages / sites through to major IT solutions such as our Employee Portal, Shareview and Equiniti.com web sites.

As an Web Application Support Analyst, you will be responsible for;

  • Provide web application support in incident and problem resolution in line with ITIL best practices through both our IT Support Help Desk and Equiniti Contact Centre teams.
  • Resolve application issues and communicate effectively with both internal and external clients/users
  • Maintain and develop the applications knowledge base ensuring documentation, user manuals, processes and procedures are updated accordingly.
  • Manage content and site configuration using a number of content management solutions, predominantly SharePoint
  • Provide task management and support in the prioritisation of tickets and projects for existing Web Operations team
  • Provide subject matter expertise and advice to operational teams and application users when required
  • Reporting to the Equiniti IT Web Operations Manager, the successful candidate will have a variety of tasks at any given time to manage and drive to completion
  • Provide support to software releases when required
  • Application Maintenance & Support
  • Log all help desk interactions
  • Prepare activity and client reports, via data extracts as/where required
  • Assist in testing of software in-line with agreed process and standards
  • Managing our domain name and SSL certificate portfolio for all of Equiniti’s web applications
As the successful candidate you will possess;

  • Customer service orientation
  • Experience in using and configuring CMS systems
  • Demonstrated experience in administration of solutions based on .NET, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, HTML/CSS and other web technologies
  • Proven experience supporting IT applications in adherence to industry best practices, especially web based solutions
  • Writing T-SQL queries
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • SharePoint/Umbraco knowledge/experience desirable
  • Capable of effective prioritisation of tasks and incidents, and allocation to others
  • Demonstrated excellence in problem solving and analytical skills
