Duties and responsibilities

ØOperation and support of IT Operations, infrastructure and application solutions, physical or virtual according to industry and organizational best practice standards and service requirements and KPIs o Creating and maintaining documentation

ØProvide specialist technical support and assistance to projects ensuring delivery of requisite non-functional requirements and continual service improvement

ØEnsuring that high priority incidents, that affect service availability, are expertly handled to completion, keeping effective communication in place.

ØEnsuring that incidents are handled in accordance with ITIL standards and agreed processes / SLA guidelines.

ØContribution to technical discussions and follow up activities where a high severity incident has been raised.

ØDirectly access production servers and services in order to manage the online and batch services.

ØAccurately follow work instructions to perform service management and maintenance for critical IT systems.

ØPerforming all routine tasks according to process and checklists.

ØMonitoring of infrastructure services and alerts and taking appropriate action.

ØMorning Checks to ensure the services is fit for start of business.

ØAttend and contribute to release management for a implementation walk-throughs.

Skills, Qualification and experience requirement

ØDemonstrable experience in development, administration, management and support of SAS and Informatica suites.

ØStupendous experience & proficient in the development, support of ETL processes with a good understanding of source to target, ability to define, capture Business rules in data extraction, transformation and loading data using SAS & Informatica tools

ØWorking knowledge of various databases and database platforms including Oracle and SQL server; understanding of interfaces and in-database techniques Desirable

ØKnowledge of Java scripting, Python, IBM BPM 8

ØExtensive experience working with software / applications running on environments running on: Windows (XP, 2000, 2010), Linux (v2.3 to v2.4/v5.8), AIX (v5 / v5.2 to v5.3) and / or Unix (v5) and WebSphere 8.5

ØAbility to work in a disciplined environment under pressure to meet challenging objectives and timescales

ØStrong analytical and problem-solving skills

ØA positive, proactive nature with a willingness to work independently and as part of a team

ØUndertake on call and out of hours support duties associated with batch support, high priority incident resolution and deployment activities;

ØStrong Microsoft Suite knowledge: Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint

ØStrong experience in the build and configuration, administration and support of technologies and solutions – e.g. hardware, software, commercial off the shelf (COTS), open source packages/solutions, virtual and cloud including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS

ØExperience in IT Service Management & Operations environment

ØData management regulations and policies and Information Lifecycle Management frameworks and solutions.

ØExperience of other areas of technology and solutions – e.g. exposure to/or technical capability across projects and service lifecycle e.g. applications development, DevOps, solutions architecture
