Teaching Assistant Level 3 SEN (Early Years) BLUT54359 Brotherton, Knottingley Salary: £20,203 - £22,869 Our Client is a multi-academy trust serving children aged 2 to 16. It is their aspiration to develop geographical hubs of schools that share their values. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join their Community Primary Academy on a permanent, full time basis. This is a Level 3 SEN position for Early Years. As the Teaching Assistant, you will work under the guidance of the class teacher, planning, implementing, delivering and evaluating work programmes for pupils. Working under the direction of the SENCO, you will deliver work, care and support programmes which enables access to learning for pupils, assisting the SENCO in the management of pupils. They are looking for someone who has a full Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification (or a commitment to undertaking this training within the first year of appointment). With experience of working with children in a supportive capacity, you will have a good knowledge of child development, and of strategies which promote good behaviour and discipline, including those relevant to special needs education. With a Level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification, you will have experience of working with children in Early Years, and with those who have special educational needs. A competent user of IT, you will have excellent communication skills, strong organisational skills and, above all, will be a good team player.
