What you’ll be doing...

Being hands on in developing our products using best practices, appropriate tools, and technologies

Highlighting areas for continuous improvement & driving their prioritisation

Examining existing software and suggesting improvements

Driving the implementation of new software and features

Working with the business teams to determine their needs and designing software solutions that fit these needs of the business

Testing software to the highest standards

Identifying new tools, technologies and processes to meet the companies long term goals

Working with cross functional collaborative teams, helping to clarify requirements at the onset of projects

Working to ensure prioritisation of relevant stories and features

Keeping our systems up to date and working with wider teams around upgrades and improvements

Driving best practices such as Test Driven Development, Continuous Delivery and Agile methodology

Skills we need

·At least 3 years of experience programming in either Ruby, Java, PHP, Python or C#

·Strong experience of working Product owners and business teams to identify requirements and driving appropriate software solutions

·Proven experience of working in an environment which practices continuous delivery and integration

·Proven experience working in cross functional teams

·Strong experience with Test Driven Development

·At least 1 year of experience working to Agile methodology

·The ability to challenge us! We love people who come in and challenge us and not be afraid to raise questions and help us improve.

·Strong communication and collaborative skills

·Strong understanding and appreciation for Agile practices

·An advocate of engineering best practices
