Site Setting-out Engineer Our client is one of the most advanced steelwork manufacturers in Great Britain - a specialist in the provision of steel frames for buildings. With an full order book through to summer 2018, they now need to recruit a Site Engineer to set-out work with steelwork gangs working across the south of the UK. The role requires visiting sites prior to start of erection to check setting out of HD bolts, marking grid lines and checking levels + visiting site at regular intervals to assist erectors with getting building plumb, line and level and producing as built surveys. You will be: An engineer with a construction background with multiple years experience setting-out jobs including hot-rolled structural steel. Located somewhere in the south of England or Wales. In possession of a full UK driving licence and willing to travel/lodge away. A good communicator. Possess the drive to occasionally juggle responsibilities across more than one site and do the miles to get the job done. Experience occasionally standing in for project leaders would be beneficial. Other desired skills include: CSCS card holder Experience using Total Stations and associated software Data processing. Salary: £35-45k dependent on experience + bonus + vehicle Start: Negotiable for the appropriate candidate.
