Data Modeller Expert Location: London Salary: £50,000-75,000 + 10% Bonus The Role & Your Impact Saggezza is seeking a qualified and passionate individual to join us as a Data Modeller Expert. Successful candidates will join a talented and motivated team working on a strategic and highly visible client project to develop an enterprise data governance framework. Our client's Enterprise Data Governance Office is a global team responsible for reducing the firm's risk by implementing and holding the firm accountable to its data governance policy. This is being achieved through a framework, tooling and workflow. It includes overseeing data standards and implementation of data unification and transparency. Team members will have the opportunity to work at the forefront of technology innovation alongside industry leaders and make significant contributions to the field. Potential in this role will be fulfilled through successfully delivering the following: - Establishing and governing a critical new function within the Engineering organisation - Driving and inputting into the firm's data modelling standards - Championing data modelling standards across the Engineering organisation and holding internal groups accountable - Governing the data model environment (e.g. ensure no duplication, ensure correct classes, identify common concepts) - Reviewing data models and providing subject matter expertise - Governing data model certification, including adherence to standards, driving any required changes in the organisation, issuing and tracking findings - Build upon existing client platforms such as PURE and DataLake The role will be based in London although a willingness to travel to client sites as needed is essential. Education, Experience and Personal Attributes Essential Education & Experience: - 5-7 years of software development experience - Bachelor's degree / Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field - Extensive knowledge and proven experience applying domain driven design to build complex business applications - Working knowledge of ORM (Object Relational Mapping) tools to create executable domain models - Experience with industry standards such as FPML, FIBO and other finance industry standards Desirable Education & Experience: - Experience with functional programming paradigm desirable Essential Personal Attributes: - Strong client service orientation - Proactive, self-motivated and flexible with an entrepreneurial and 'can do' attitude - Proven ability to think logically and use technology-related knowledge to problem solve effectively and deliver results on time - Independent thinker, willing to engage, challenge or learn - Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with subject matter experts to extract critical business concepts - Excellent listening and interpersonal skills with the ability to understand people, build strong stakeholder relationships and foster cross group collaboration - Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment - Highly dependable with a strong work ethic - Individual contributor, who is self-motivated and effective working independently as well as part of a team About Saggezza: Saggezza is a technology services company.
