The Design Engineer is responsible for all aspects of designing new products from conceptual stages, prototyping, testing and final type approval. Key Responsibilities Design of new products including conceptual sketches, 3D modelling, production drawings, assembly drawings Engineering drawings EnEEE Engineering calculations Hands on prototype building Project manage allocated projects within time scale and budget Testing - Â prototype/development/type approval Training of production staff for the implementation of new products Understanding of relevant European and International standards and application to products Essential Skills Experience with SolidWorks or similar software package Degree/HND or equivalent in relevant Engineering/Engineering Design Discipline Preferred Skills Extensive experience with Solidworks Significant industry-based experience in a Design/Mechanical Engineering role Please note that we are not at present accepting approaches from Recruitment Agencies for this or any other positions.
