SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER - £60K - COVENTRY - PERMANENT My client is a cutting-edge designer and manufacturer of technology for safety critical industry, due to continued strong growth they are looking to add a Permanent Systems Engineer to the team based in Coventry. The successful candidate will provide technical and procedure systems engineering expertise in the design, development, testing and verification of Hydro-Mechanical and Electro Mechanical Systems Job Responsibilities: - Brake Control System and/or Tyre Pressure Monitoring System specification and design, including: - Requirements capture and traceability (DOORS) - Application of an ARP4754A development process - System interface negotiation (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical, Avionic and Flight Test) - Customer technical focal /liaison - System Integration, including - Specification and integration of Hardware In the Loop (HIL) test rigs - System Integration testing / System Requirements validation and verification - Flight Test Support, analysis of aircraft test data - Development of test tools and environments (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink.) - Functional Testing Engineering Requirements for Ground/Flight testing - Simulation Modelling, including: - System modelling in MATLAB/Simulink, including software functionality - Development of aircraft, environment and communications models - Control Algorithm Development, including: - Development of feedback control schemes and algorithms - Optimising controller parameters (controller tuning) - Liaison with system Safety Engineers and review of system level safety analyses in accordance with ARP4761 and ARP4754A, including: - PSSA and FT - SSA and FT Skills & Experience: * Experience in System Development Process (new product development) to include requirements development, system design and integration, and system testing. - Experience in development of systems that comprise multiple LRUs including electronic control units and electrical / hydraulic / hydro-mechanical actuation or similar - Experience in System simulation and modelling - Experience working with Electrical and Avionic System integration - Proficient in the use of requirements management database (e.g. DOORS) - Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline - preferably Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering - Experience in a similar role - Willing to travel overseas - Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral and written communication skills.
