With up to date tech stack that includes Java, React, Redux, Django/Python, Spring Boot, Solr, MySQL, MongoDB, Jenkins, RxJava, StatsD, LogStash, Kibana, Grafana, logFaces and Hystrix. They encourage employees to develops new skills. They have expanded the in-house tech team from 10 to 30 in the last 18 months and continue to grow! They have also grown their product and management team and recently moved from Scrum to Kanban methodology to better their overall responsiveness to a dynamic marketplace. They strive to be as Agile as possible. Job Description - My client is on the lookout for a Java Developer who is passionate about data, love to solve complex technical challenges and strive to better their development practices - The team oversees a range of activities from working with vast quantities of data using cutting edge techniques such as multi-threading and distributed processing, to developing/reverse engineering complex pricing algorithms and supplier integration into their ever-expanding offering - Working directly with stakeholders to identify and deliver on business needs. - With a vision to expand their product offering they require architectural thinkers to help scope and define, working closely with their wider development team, the future approach to their transactional path. Skills & Requirements - Passionate programmer with strong knowledge of SOLID OO Java design principles. - Previous Java experience to create and integrate APIs to exchange transactional data with a keen eye for performance. - Must have experience using Java to create and integrate API's to exchange data - Previous experience with Spring Boot or equivalent and have a deep knowledge of SOA principles. - Experience working for an E commerce company - You must have strong database background using MySQL or equivalent. MongoDB is a bonus - Experience with TDD - Java 8 experience - You will have a focus on the iterative delivery of quality software and a mind-set to get the job done.
