We have a number of exciting apprenticeship opportunities coming up across the group and are looking to recruit a total of 24 new apprentices. These new roles will be spread across our divisions and range from professional office based apprenticeships to on site technical roles. These roles include the following: Business Administration - Huthwaite, NottinghamshireOur business administration apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our busy HR Team. As the HR Apprentice you will provide and maintain a full range of administrative support functions to the HR team and the NM Group. We are looking for a confident individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service to our Divisions. The successful candidate will need to have a can do attitude, an excellent communicator and be fully IT literate. ICT (Level 4) - Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire Our ICT team play an integral part in ensuring that an excellent level of customer service is maintained across our organisation.This is an ideal opportunity for an individual to get their first experience of working in IT. You will assist in all aspects relating to the care and maintenance of the networks, computers, printers and mobile devices. The role will be working within our Helpdesk to be the first point of call for issues raised within our IT environment. This will include providing user support over the phone and face-to-face to colleagues at all levels of the business. Previous customer service experience in any environment is therefore essential. The successful candidate will need to have a keen interest in ICT, be technically minded and able to work to tight deadlines. Electrical Engineering - Plymouth / Warrington / Leeds We are currently looking to recruit 3 Apprentice Electrical Engineers spread across the locations above. Following a programme of development through experience and training, you will be responsible for the production and co-ordination of outline and detailed design deliverables on the Electrical elements of multi-disciplined schemes, predominantly in the water and mining industries. The successful candidate will need to be a fantastic problem solver and have a keen interesting in Engineering. Mechanical Engineering - Huthwaite / Plymouth / Warrington / Leeds We are currently looking to recruit 4 Apprentice Mechanical Engineers spread across the locations above. Following a programme of development through experience and training you will be responsible for the mechanical installation of industrial equipment, plant and associated ancillary materials for water treatment, waste water treatment, pumping stations, chemical dosing systems and general industrial applications. The successful candidate will need to be a good communicator, have a keen interest in Engineering and be able to us Microsoft Office. Trainee Engineer (Civils) - Sheffield / Huthwaite / Birmingham / Newark / Derby An opportunity has arisen for 7 Trainee Civil Engineer's to work across a number of our divisions - group wide. Following a programme of development through experience and training, you will ensure that civil engineering requirements are correctly interpreted from design and implemented on site. Duties will include surveying and setting out tasks using a variety of surveying equipment as well as the document control and management of construction drawings. We are looking for individuals with a can do attitude and who have a keen interest in construction and civil engineering works. Commercial (QS) - Newark / Derby / Birmingham / Plymouth / Warrington / Leeds An opportunity has arisen for 6 Commercial Apprentices to work across the group in the above locations. Reporting to the commercial teams, you will work alongside the contract delivery team to ensure the contractual control, cost management, profitability and cash management of Mechanical / Electrical and combined schemes, predominantly in the water industry. This opportunity enables you to work within the teams to train to be a Quantity Surveyor. You must have a desire to work with mathematcis and finances in the construction industry and have a keen eye for detail. Joiner (Level 3) - Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire We have an opportunity for an Apprentice Joiner to work in our Building Division based out of our Head Office in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire. The successful candidate will undertake day to day maintenance, repair and improvement work. You will carry out the work to the required standards with efficiency and quality expected by your supervisor (with support and training). You will carry out all aspects of joinery including fitting window frames, staircases, doors, stud work, high spec finish and detail work.
