This is an exciting opportunity in Mechelen, Belgium for a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant to join us. Cummins Europe is where you can take on the exciting project of being responsible for our Norwegian operation and be an integral part in ensuring the financial health of the business. Your impact will be seen in these and other ways: - Being responsible for implementing accounting practices and procedures - Supervising a group of general accountants or accounting clerks in maintaining the general ledger. - Co-operating with Norwegian Authorities and accounting firms (EY. PwC etc.) in Norway in order to ensure compliance with local regulations - Implementing accounting policies under direction of the General Accounting Manager. - Implementing processes and procedures that properly capture, track, and report revenue and expenditures. - Compiling, reviewing, analyzing and recording complex financial information. - Reviewing account reconciliations prepared by accountants and accounting clerks. - Reviewing and interpreting balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidating financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. - Designing, modifying, and maintaining accounting systems to ensure adequate recognition of financial transactions Qualifications Skills and Experience Required: - Prior experience in a global / international business. - Relevant professional work experience to the required level including some supervisory experience. - Previous experience of working with local authorities and accounting firms to ensure compliance with local regulations. - Qualified accountant - Required; Chartered Accountant - Preferred - Languages: English - good knowledge that enables efficient communication - Required; Additional Norwegian - Preferred - Knowledge of US GAAP - Preferred Required Education, Licenses or Certifications - College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. - Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CIMA), Chartered Accountant or similar required Compensation and Benefits Highly Competitive Salary. Cummins variable compensation: 8% of annual salary when Cummins' reaches the targets Mealvouchers and small allowance for work-home travel available (standard legal allowance) 39 hours per week 20 legal days 6 ADV day 2 extra Cummins days.
