Hitachi Consulting is currently investing in its Cloud Solutions Practice which is growing rapidly in the UK and Europe. As part of this, we are seeking to recruit an experienced Azure Infrastructure Specialist to join us, based in the UK. Responsibilities The Azure Infrastructure Specialist will be able to demonstrate a passion and proficiency for advanced Microsoft Azure skills to impact systems architectures, investigate system-wide technical problems and develop new features. The successful candidate will also have experience with the evaluation, design and upgrading of several technologies used to create, manage, update, monitor and report on Windows configurations. As such the role requires a technically strong Consultant who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in design and deployment of Infrastructure solutions. The role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect a solution by mapping a customer business problem to an end-to-end technology solution The principal areas of responsibility are: ·Identify, research, and resolve technical problems associated to Azure systems. ·Manage the installation of new software releases, system upgrades, and patch installs. ·Assists in the installation, maintenance, and general support of Azure systems ·Develop and update both Internal and Client facing documentation for Azure systems ·Routinely review monitoring systems and services to ensure stability and security. ·Provide escalation support for Outsourcing Services team. The role is based at the Hitachi Consulting offices in Manchester with visits to client-site locations and other Hitachi offices as required. Background We hire professionals, passionate about the benefits technology can bring to business.An Azure Infrastructure Specialist will typically have the following skills and experience: ·Microsoft Azure (Minimum 3 years' experience) ·5+ years of broad-based IT experience with technical knowledge of network, environmental, hardware, storage, operating systems and applications. - 5+ years of customer-service experience (service-industry or non-technical field acceptable)preferred. Essential Skills: ·Numerous demonstrated deployments in Azure ·Strong experience architecting Hybrid Cloud environments, using a number of methods and technologies ·Single Sign On (SSO) Architecture Highly Desirable Skills: ·In-depth working knowledge and understanding of Azure Runbooks, Marketplace add-ons & services ·Extensive experience with JSON and Visual Studio scripting/deployments. ·Extensive experience creating own PowerShell scripts Advantageous Skills: ·3 years minimum Azure experience ·Work on full project rollout from presales to support. ·Identify and solve any project issues throughout all project phases. ·Deep understanding of Azure; including implementation and development ·Experience working with the full Microsoft Infrastructure stack. (Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy etc.) ·ITIL v3 Foundation or above certification preferred.
