Principal Systems Engineer (Software) - Berkshire Our client, a global and fast paced security company, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer (Software) to lead research, design, development, support and administration of the business systems software applications. You'll be managing the day to day operations and oversee the development of applications in line with business needs andso will bring with you a strong background in application development. The ability to translate technical information to non-technical people is essential and experience working with SAP is highly desired. Key duties include - Leads/performs systems engineering projects/activities of moderate to substantial complexity - Recommends and assists in the implementation of goals and objectives; implements approved policies and procedures - Develops technical requirements for assigned projects; determines hardware and/or software necessary to accomplish projects; evaluates resources; makes hardware and/or software recommendations - Prepares analytical and statistical reports on operations, activities and projects - Provides technical systems assistance to management, contractors, and other divisions and departments Experience - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or a related field - Minimum of five years' software development experience - Minimum of three years as lead software design/development engineer - Experience with SAP, ideally SAP HANA/ S/4HANA - Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE Technologies, object-oriented programming methodology, and relational database experience - Salesforce administration, development and Apex experience highly desirable - ServiceNow administration and development experience highly desirable - Significant experience in API and integration components. Knowledgeable in SAP PI/PO, Cast Iron, Jitterbit, or Informatica applications highly desirable. - Strong understanding of ITSM policies, processes, and procedures - Experience managing 24×365 environments
