Technical Architect Payment Services Technical Architect with strong Payment Services experience across Ecommerce and MOTO, (Payment, Card, PSP, MOTO), Data Security, PCI, DSS, AWS, Java, PostgresSQL, MongoDB, Payment Card, PSD2, Payment Architecture, EU GDPR, Digital Wallets, Direct Debit, BACS, REST, SOAP, Solution Architect Our client based in Swansea requires an Architect with knowledge of designing payment services to support this element of Business/IT transformation. The resource will lead the design and re-development of the client's payment systems both internal and public/customer facing. Outputs delivered must be built to industry best-practice patterns for the processing of credit/debit card payments The specialist will work with (by providing expert advice) the IT Service Creation delivery squads, which includes software engineers, test engineers, business analysts and also the Senior Management Team. He or she will also be required to work with the Enterprise Architecture team, the Strategy and Planning team as well as providing support and expertise to the Operations and Support teams. Key Skills/Experience - Evidence of experience in integrating with one or more Payment Service Provider (PSP) to handle card payments (E-commerce and MOTO) - Extensive understanding of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), and experience of driving compliance against the standard, across all domains - Evidence of the ability to communicate complex technical concepts and ensure knowledge transfer to in-house development teams - Evidence of experience working on projects using open source technology within cloud hosted/virtualised environments; AWS preferred - Evidence of knowledge of the Java programming language to Java 8. - Evidence of experience of integrating with external systems using REST and SOAP - Knowledge of relational and non-relational database systems, for example PostgreSQL/MongoDB - Experience presenting work at user groups and agile ceremonies communicating technical concepts to a non-technical audience - Evidence of experience working as part of an agile software delivery team, embracing collaborative working practices and contributing to a shared team goal - Evidence of supporting enablement of in-house development capabilities, engaging with staff and creating an environment of knowledge sharing - Ability to assess technical capabilities of potential Payment Service Providers, as well as their associated products, and make a recommendation based on best fit for the Agency's requirements - Ability to provide Subject Matter Expertise in the area of PCI DSS compliance requirements - Awareness of PSD2 and other developments in the payments industry eg the New Payments Architecture - Awareness of EU GDPR - Understanding of payment technologies other than card payments eg Digital Wallets, Direct Debit, BACS
