JOB DESCRIPTION FOR: IT CO-ORDINATOR LOCATION: STAFFORD + various locations across Cannock Chase district and Stafford Borough JOB TITLE: IT CO-ORDINATOR SALARY: £19,400.00 per annum PRO RATA (Actual: £14,680.00) HOURS: 28 Hours per week THE COMPANY: Our client service provides free, confidential, impartial and independent advice. Our client offers face to face advice and advice by telephone on a range of issues including debt, benefits, housing, employment, family and relationship matters and consumer advice. They also have specialist advice services in debt, welfare benefits and housing. THE ROLE: Our client is looking for an IT Coordinator to support and develop the IT infrastructure across the offices of the organisations Staffordshire offices. Are you / Do you have: - A working Knowledge of: Microsoft operating systems and Office 365 Operating systems including Windows 2008/12 and Windows 7/10 PC Hardware and peripherals PC and network troubleshooting techniques Diagnostic tools and monitoring software Installation and configuration of Routers, Firewalls and switches Structured cabling installation and maintenance - An understanding of local and domain group policies - Experience of Powershell for Windows 10 and 365 administration - Ability to communicate in a one to one or group setting regarding technical or non technical subjects - Understanding and application of written materials - Ability to input data or information accurately - Learn role related material through oral instruction, observation and reading - Ability to understand and operate within the aims and principles of the service and it's equality and diversity policies - To operate safely within health and safety policies and procedures - Experience of supporting multi-site IT systems - Experience of user support Key Responsibilities of the job role to include:- - Have the ability to commit to and work within the aims, principles and policies of the organisation - Have a broad understanding of the IT requirements of the organisation and the solutions available - Contribute to continuous effort to improve operations and streamlining work processes - Have access to a vehicle and be willing to travel - Respond to requests from computer users regarding hardware, software or network problems or questions - Ensure that a regular back up routine is followed and checked on a daily basis - Ensure that there are robust processes in place to provide security of data and compliance with Information Assurance requirements. - Make sure that the servers and workstations are kept up to date with the latest security fixes and updates recommended by the software manufacturers. - Refer the more difficult problems or non -routine requests to other external technical support staff of the IT help desk - Place service calls with vendors and co-ordinate service for the user - Ensure that all work carried out is documented and clearly understandable - Ensure that software licenses are obtained and updated for all software - Help maintain the social media sites of the organisation. - To maintain and update an inventory of software, hardware and other IT equipment - To support implementation of new systems and programs - Supporting with the production and analysis of performance reports for contract compliance. - Attend courses/meetings as agreed - Keep up to date on new IT developments - Prepare for and attend regular supervision sessions - All staff are required to work generically across projects, within the context of their role and their relevant experience when necessary. - Uphold the aims and principles of the service and it's equality and diversity policies - Keep up to date with policies and procedures relevant to the organisation and undertake relevant training within guidelines issued by the organisation - Abide by health and safety guidelines and share responsibility for own safety and that of colleagues. - Attend appropriate internal and external meetings as agreed by service manager Does this sound like you?
