A Social Enterprise IT company who specialize in providing IT services to the Third Sector in Scotland. This is an ever growing company that was started in 2012, that now has a wealth of experience with over 20 years working in the IT industry and have created a thriving environment for any young person who is passionate in IT. Currently looking for an individual who is passionate about IT, and has a strong desire to gain qualifications and valuable experience within a range of areas within an IT professional's career. The successful candidate will work with a long established Scottish IT company who service various industries across the country. The candidate will have at least a relevant IT/Computing qualification or currently be at college studying IT. The Apprentice will last for 2 years incorporating not only a Diploma in IT but also professional vendor qualifications in CISCO & MICROSOFT. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate a keen interest in computing either as a hobby or through informal IT support with family and friends. Due to Funding requirements this opportunity is open only to 18-24 year olds who live within South Lanarkshire. Key Responsibilities: This 2 year apprenticeship will primarily be focused around Helpdesk & Junior Network Support as well as incorporate on site technician and engineer work. Daily Role Duties; - 1st Line Helpdesk Support. - PC Repair. - Problem determination of customer networks. - Day to day administration of Office365 and Google Gsuite. - Day to day dealing with customers. Due to funding requirements this apprenticeship opportunity is only open to 18-24 year olds who live within South Lanarkshire. Required Skills: - Strong numeracy skills, - Ability to multi-task, - Work under instruction , - Willingness to learn, - Strong communication skills. - Passionate about IT - Need to be confident in dealing with customers and have a natural aptitude to technology and learning Additional Information: - Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm - Salary will be NMW for the age group ranging from £12,000 to £16,000 Important Information "QA's apprenticeship programmes may be funded in part by the European Union through the European Social Fund, which supports the development of employment opportunities and a skilled workforce."
