Job Title: Service Engineer Location: Andover, Swindon, Bristol Salary: c£30k The Company: An expert in water treatment, the company assists its clients in reducing their water footprint, limiting the volume of wastewater produced and recovering by-products from wastewater, optimising energy and chemical consumption. The Job: This is a field based role and would suit someone living in the Swindon, Andover, Bristol (M4 corridor) area, however you may be required to travel to client sites outside of these areas depending on your work schedule. As a Service Engineer you will provide on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and offer after-sales technical and commercial support. Key Responsibilities include; - To develop and maintain good working relationships with customers ensuring you are always punctual, helpful and courteous. - Flexible approach to customers' needs and working hours. - Timely reporting to Service Manager on progress or delays. - Timely completion and submission of risk assessments work reports, activity reports and all other documentation. - Timely completion of site tasks and activities as required. - Look for recommendations and opportunities to improve the clients system, (reliability or productivity) and where appropriate provide quotations to the client for parts, consumables, plant upgrades and refurbishment work. - Liaise with the appropriate sales team on any potential leads. - Offer feedback on future product development, features and functions - Provide regular updates to your line manager on any issues that may result in financial, reputational or operational impact on the Company. - To carry out commissioning work on standard equipment. Must have's.... - NVQ or higher in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar or even working towards. - GCSE or equivalent - English and Maths. - A full UK driving license is required. - Excellent time management skills. - Experience with the water industry would be an advantage but is not essential. - Knowledge of the Industrial market is desirable. - Experience of having worked as a Service Engineer or in a Technical Support role would be an advantage but not essential. - Able to handle challenging conversations with customers and find a resolution. - Demonstrable experience of having built strong working relationships both internally and externally. - A professional approach to your work and communication with colleagues and customers. - A good level of IT competency - Good organisational skills with an eye for detail. - Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks.
