DJANGO / PYTHON DEVELOPER This position would be ideal for a Django / Python Developer looking to enhance their skills and take the step up into a more Senior Development role. My client is looking for someone who has the potential to move into a Technical Lead role and be responsible for technical ownership of the companies Django applications - this is an amazing opportunity for an extremely driven individual! They are on the lookout for a talented Python / Django Developer to join their Digital Smart Consulting team - this is an incredibly exciting opportunity, because you'll get the opportunity to both utilise and immediately enhance your skill set. The Digital Smart Consulting team provide technology and vendor agnostic solutions for their clients that vary from bespoke developments to system integrations to deployment of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products. Their in-house development team specialises in Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions, and they currently leverage off-shore resources for bespoke developments. This role can be based out of Bristol, Leeds or Manchester. A typical week for you, the Django / Python Developer could include: - Coding / development work: Django, Python and more - Technical software design for bespoke solutions and integrations - Liaising with off-shore development teams - Mentoring on-shore junior developers - Support with the development and securing of projects and some client interaction during delivery phase - Supporting delivery and improving software development lifecycle and process We'd love to hear from you, the Django / Python Developer if you have: - Experience with open-source software development technologies such as; Python, Django, PostgreSQL, MySQL, HTML / JS / CSS and modern platforms and frameworks. - A degree in a computer science or related subject would be ideal. - Experience with user interface and user experience design would be a bonus. - An awareness of GIS solutions would also be helpful, but can mentored for the right candidate.
