Deputy Nursery Manager and Nursery Nurse- Birmingham (B36) We are recruiting for our Nursery based in Birmingham Deputy Manager The nursery deputy manager will ensure the smooth running of the nursery on a day to day basis, ensuring that high standards are implemented throughout and ensuring that all children are happy and are in a fun, stimulating learning environment alongside the manager. You will ensure you are professional at all times, ensuring all the staff in the setting are fully complying to their job description and that ratios are met at all times. You will ensure that children in the setting are being given the opportunities to play and learn in a fun and stimulating environment that is free from discrimination and promotes respect and acceptance amongst all. You will have a full understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and the welfare requirements and you will ensure that this is delivered in the setting and that all the children are meeting their learning potential. Qualifications - NVQ Level 4 in Children's Care, Learning and Development or - A degree or foundation degree in Early Years with at least two years' nursery management experience Level 3 Nursery Nurse You are responsible for adhering to the policies and procedures of the nursery and ensure you are compliant to the Children Act, Health and Safety legislation and understand the guidelines of OFSTED and the National Standards. You will ensure you are professional at all times, providing a high standard of care for all children in the setting ensuring that they are given the opportunities to play and learn in a fun and stimulating environment that is free from discrimination and promotes respect and acceptance amongst all. You will work with children aged 6 weeks to five years ensuring they achieve the learning objectives according to the Early Years Foundation Stage, observing and recording their development. You will ensure the five outcomes for Every Child Matters are actively in place ensuring that all children in our care are healthy, safe, are given the opportunity to enjoy and achieve, make positive contributions and also achieve economic, social and emotional well being. Before you can begin working with children you will need Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) clearance. Qualifications - CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education. - BTEC National Diploma in Early Years. - NVQ in Early Years Care and Education at Level 3 or above.
