Ergonomic / Human Factors Engineer - Automotive - Coventry - up to £25.41 An opportunity has arisen for an Ergonomic Engineer with this luxury automotive OEM based in the West Midlands area. As Ergonomic Engineer you will support the implementation of the company ergonomic requirements, processes and procedures into PTME manufacturing processes and facilities. Working closely with the Virtual engineering and Assembly Process engineering teams. Supporting and maintaining the company ergonomic policies and related safety procedures during programme launch phase at our engine manufacturing sites, primarily in the UK, but additional international support may be required from time to time. Provide Ergonomics training to company personnel, leading and developing the knowledge of ergonomics across the Assembly team and developing the capability of the team to perform basic ergonomic assessments Assist with developing PTMEs ergonomics reference documents with guidance from the company production ergonomics team. Skills Required: - A qualification in ergonomics is required to degree level or equivalent recognised qualification - Experience of applying ergonomics within an engine assembly manufacturing environment on large sites across multi stage process lines - A good level of IT competence Experience Required: Experience of applying ergonomics within a manufacturing environment, excellent communication skills with the ability to develop solid working relationships across a broad multi-site team. The ability to work as part of a team and manage workload independently, a good level of IT competence is essential. Experience Preferred: A working knowledge of engine assembly process planning, process authoring tools, working knowledge of the function of virtual and simulation teams, capability to support equipment layouts, understanding of automated assembly processes, basics of control systems and DC tooling is an advantage. Additional Information: A full driving license is required; you will be required to travel to all sites on a regular basis, travel outside the UK to support launch activities may be required.
