1st Line support Engineer - Oxford I have a couple of exciting opportunities to work with a Global Retail IT business, providing 1st line IT support in the Oxford area. This role will be working with Microsoft Active Directory as well as other technologies and having a working knowledge of supporting IT hardware i.e: printers, desktops, laptops etc. *A chance to be part of a great working environment with the prospects to grow and strengthen your skills* Salary: 18-20kJob purpose:Working in a team, providing IT support, the role will be phone and remote support based. Key responsibilities:The role is split into three areas.1. Taking calls on the helpdesk via or ticketing system/email or phone andworking to complete tickets to resolution2. Scheduling the field engineers for site visits.3. Hardware repairsIn addition to undertaking the duties as outlines above, you may be required to undertake other duties, within reason, that may be required of you. Requirements: - Experience in a 1st line support role - Ability to use remote support applications - Excellent communication skills and phone manner - Experience of Active directory - Basic understanding of networking technologies Working hours: This role would be normal working hours of Monday to Friday 8-5 or 9-6 and the candidate would be required to be flexible as the occasional weekend might need to be covered.
