Head of Marketing Professional Services £50,000 - £60,000 Chester This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic marketer to join a growing legal firm in Chester and to lead the marketing and business development functions to achieve agreed growth targets. You will be responsible for developing marketing and business development plans for each team and sector within the business (and overall business) and deliver agreed outputs through the marketing and business development team. Role responsibilities: - Report to nominated Executive Board partner and deliver marketing and business development operations for the business. - Understand the strategic positioning of the business and the legal market and ensure the firm is positioned correctly within the market. - Undertake and/or commission market research as appropriate. - Develop and deliver detailed and fully costed marketing and business development plans using market intelligence and client data. - Control and monitor significant marketing budget to deliver agreed outcomes. - Manage and analyse the sales process through the business development team - one person in the marketing and business development team and designated representatives from across the business. - Work with team leaders and separate pricing team on pricing strategies. - Manage the firm's website to ensure it is both current and effective. - Manage the firm's brand image. - Manage internal and external communications - though all appropriate channels. - Have processes in place to measure the client experience and develop and implement plans to improve it. - Measure the effectiveness of all marketing and business development activities through appropriate metrics and report to Executive Board. Skills required: - University degree - Preferred professional marketing qualification or equivalent. - Highly literate and numerate. - Experience of the professional services sector required - legal experience preferred. - Good management skills with experience of leading, managing and developing a team. - Understanding and experience of managing: - Strategic plans - Marketing plans - Channel marketing for specialist sectors - Business development activity - Brand - Websites - PR and communications - Digital media - Events - Customer / client experience programs - CRM - systems, implementation and behaviour - Used to delivering creative and innovative marketing solutions. - Good influencing skills to gain buy-in and commitment across the firm. - Strong presentational skills and selling experience to sell ideas internally and the firm externally. - Strong data and analytical skills to collect and interpret relevant data. - Able to report on key metrics to drive enhanced performance. - Personal management skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent customer service skills. - High attention to detail. - Bright, out-going, enthusiastic and self motivated. - Calm, robust and able to focus in a pressure situation. - Target focused, proactive and keen to spot opportunities to refine and improve processes and service.
