Maintenance Engineer Location: Essex Salary: Circa 25k-28k Shift Patten: Day Shift Monday-Friday Local respected specialist wholesalers who supply Frozen foods to a number of clients throughout the UK are now looking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. Maintenance Engineer - Job Outline: To maintain and improve all aspects of the site, machinery and equipment, either directly or through the use of external agencies, where specialist skills or equipment are required. To ensure that all properties are maintained and kept in a good state of repair. To assist managers where needed in the day to day running of site. Maintenance Engineer - Main Responsibilities: - Complete site surveys - Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance of the site equipment, and machinery, covering all the HVAC plant including single and three phase power, HV switching, UPS, generators, motors, pumps, air conditioning, dust extraction systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. - Basic site and main buildings maintenance. - Diagnosing and fixing electric/electronic/ pneumatic/hydraulic and general mechanical faults in industrial packaging and process equipment. - Maintain stores units in a safe and organised manner - Carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) as required - Work when needed with other departments to meet our clients service needs Maintenance Engineer - About You The ideal candidate MUST come from the Manufacturing industry as a Maintenance Engineer. You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience: - Must have a recognised qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or track record of success and relevant experience. - Must be capable of designing and creating bespoke work for projects and works not associated with normal operational functions - Have good PLC fault-finding capabilities - Computer literate, including knowledge and experience of inputting data to and interrogating maintenance and plc software - The position is very active and requires the individual to be physically fit to successfully perform the essential functions of this job - Proactive problem-solving skills - Working knowledge of Health and Safety.
