Hammonds, the UK's largest choice of fitted furniture company has an opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join the team based in Hinckley, Leicestershire on a full time, permanent basis. You will receive a salary of £43,000 per annum. The key requirement of this role is being able to recognise the problem areas of a business. This should include identifying inefficient worker habits, poor organisation and ineffective company policies. When the problem areas have been identified, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will develop tangible improvement plans using Lean Manufacturing techniques to facilitate a measureable improvement. They will prioritise problem areas along a continuum from ones needing urgent change to ones that can be dealt with later on. From there, they will spend time lean-thinking and interacting with department leaders to discuss potential ideas. Responsibility indicators of our Continuous Improvement Engineer include: - Reduced production costs and overheads - Achieving set budgets and targets - Increased productivity - Positive feedback - Increased staff knowledge - One-to-ones What we are looking for in our Continuous Improvement Engineer; - Leadership skills. - Proactive and dynamic approach in challenging existing processes and searching for new opportunities - Analytical skills - Process and production knowledge - Ability to learn product knowledge - Good communication skills. - Lean techniques. - Green belt 6 sigma - desirable Hinckley is commutable from Leicester,Coventry,Nuneaton, Lutterworth and surrounding areas.
