This role is situated in one of the UK's head offices based in Watford, with great travel links. Job Brief The primary function of the Pricing Analyst is to deliver optimized and reasonable pricing solutions to meet revenue targets for domestic (cars, vans & selection vehicles) and inbound (cars) business segments. The incumbent will work closely with Sales and Marketing, Fleet, Forecasting, Reporting, Data Loading and Operations staff. Key Responsibilities 1 Define competitor sets by source, destination and business channel. Ensure systematic examination of competitor activities (rate canvassing) within the Domestic and European car rental market by key locations, source markets, car groups and rental lengths 2 Monitor, maintain and enhance pricing strategy to meet agreed strategic and business plan goals 3 Understand demand for and supply of car rental vehicles, e.g. advance reservations, fleet supplies, historic performance, and take appropriate yield actions to reflect this 4 Using business intelligence to monitor performance of pricing decisions to ensure attainment of goals taking remedial action when necessary in line with strategy 5 Ensure logicality within pricing structure. Recommend and implement changes to rate structures and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness 6 Develop excellent relationships with operations staff to ensure optimised pricing by station 7 Support Marketing with development of promotional product offerings 8 Provide / present MI reports to the business Competencies * Bachelor's degree and/or relevant work experience * Working knowledge of using Microsoft Excel * Strategic business focus and commercial awareness * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks * Results driven and committed to deadlines * Strong relationship building and communication skills * Ability to be a dedicated, enthusiastic an committed member of a team * Logical and proactive thinking * Flexible and dynamic within the workplace and team
