Paradigm Housing Group is one of the UK's most progressive housing associations with over 13,500 properties across the south-east of England and a large property development portfolio. A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi Skilled Technician to join our busy Property Repairs department. You will be required to complete maintenance work within our tenanted properties, being skilled in 3 trades or more, primarily with installing boundary fencing such as chain link and timber fencing. Also, as a key member of the team, you will also need to be experienced in a number of skills such as decorative works, plumbing, ceramic tiling, floor laying and carpentry skills (to include lock changes). This will be for complete replacements and repairs and general building repairs. Key Attributes for a Multi Skilled Technician - Relevant City & Guilds or NVQ or relevant experience in multiple trades - Significant experience in maintenance and repairs work specific to Fencing and other trades - A sound knowledge of relevant building related legislation and/or Codes of Practice i.e. construction, building regulations and health and safety law - A reasonable level of literacy and numeracy to enable associated works to be completed - The ability to work to tight deadlines playing a key role affecting our voids turnaround targets - To be able to work on your own/with other team members, unsupervised and efficiently. - Excellent communication skills, telephone manner with basic knowledge of PDA and email use.
