Our client is looking for an experienced Solicitor to work on a Solicitor to work on a 37 hour per week contract to start on the 04-09-17 until the 31-12-17 with a likely extension to the contract. Hours: 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Our Client requires a Procurement Lawyer for a minimum period of 4 months. The successful candidate will carry a full caseload of Commercial Contracts and EU Procurement matters and have strong experience handling, drafting and negotiating contracts. Our client is particularly keen to speak with candidates that have previously worked within Local Government, although all candidates with the relevant experience are encouraged to apply. With a proven track record in providing procurement advice, you'll be looking to join the Client's in house legal team advising on procurement law aspects of a range of projects including: - Energy projects - Major outsourcing initiatives/large scale complex projects - Joint ventures/commercial/trading projects - Regeneration/ Construction projects - IT contracts - Social care contracts Experience of advising on State Aid, publicly funded/grant funded projects, and procurement challenges would also be desirable. As important is the ability to develop deep and lasting relationships with our clients, and a practical approach to the application of the law. You may also be expected to give legal advice on general local government matters such as Data protection, Freedom of information, Intellectual Property, Information Technology.
