As the central MI team in UK Life, we are currently embarking on a new and exciting Business Intelligence (BI) strategy, working in conjunction with other UK businesses. This role is paramount to ensuring that we enable our ambition, by keeping our strategic systems fit for purpose through configuration and development cycles. Duties & responsibilities: *Lead the control, configuration and administration of systems. *Adhering to, and implementing, appropriate controls to safeguard our customer data and mitigate risks. *To recommend solution options and assist with, or lead on, the design, development and testing of those solutions. *Work with systems analysts and IT to provide requirements, solution designs and implementation of software for agreed work packages. *Our people are also required to liaise with business leaders and representatives typically up to and including head of department. Skills & Experience required: *ou will have experience of procedural programming and object-oriented principles as well as a sound understanding of at least one of the following; C#, VB.Net, T-SQL/MS SQL Server, ASP.Net, JavaScript, HTML & CSS, Office VBA, VB6, MS Access etc. *Requirements analysis, database design, specification and development of solutions, common project lifecycles. *Accuracy, attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines. *Proven communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex technology in plain language. *Demonstrable experience working in a data information capacity, with good working knowledge of data governance standards and best practices. *Ideally have an understanding of UKL system interaction and data feeds.
