Role The role is responsible for revenue and other commercial analysis for the Live Entertainment businesses reporting through to the Finance Director and working collaboratively with the Live FP&A and controllership functions. This is a high-profile role within the business, involved across all aspects of the business financial performance, policies and processes. The role may eventually supervise a billings accountant. Responsibilities Ticketing Analysis - Ownership of the end to end ticketing function across multiple festivals, including, the building and management of homogenous, standardized tools for forecasting ticketing revenues across the group. - The tool will access the complete data set from the last 3 years, analysing trends, using historical to predict future sales patterns and pricing. - The knowledge of this prime revenue stream will form the backbone of the forecasting process for each festival providing the base for the planning team in multiple processes - The role is also responsible for weekly reporting sales actuals & ensuring bookings performed by management accountants of those match both external reporting and collections. - The role will ensure that rebates, TX fees, advances, discounts, allocations, commissions, VAT, refunds and other related transactions are managed according to contractual conditions. Annual Budgeting The divisional budget is set in September/October. This role must work with the finance team to assist in the development of revenue budgets for all events based on historical information and an analysis of the market opportunities, working with event directors and managers and the Global revenue management team. Quarterly / Monthly / Weekly Forecasting - The expected full year result of the portfolio is forecast monthly in preparation for the board meetings. Revenue forecast information is a key input to this process. This role will complete this revenue forecast using information from weekly ticketing trend analysis and discussions with key stakeholders across the portfolio. Other revenues The division will support the Finance Director to develop multiple other revenue models including Bar, Glamping, accommodation, parking, activities and more. Manage Team distribute the workload across the commercial analysis team as it grows. This role will start with no direct reports but then will need to develop into a best in class function. The role will liaise with all external / internal accountants and event managers to support any queries and ad hoc analysis. Requirements What we expect of you¦ - To support all Live Entertainment and Festivals finance requirements in scope - To lead, manage and develop your team to deliver a best in class function You'll have experience in¦ - Revenue and other commercial analysis - able to work with big data to gain insights - 2-5 years experience in similar sized organisations in similar roles just as online ticketing, theatre events, theme parks etc. - Strong diverse systems experience, including advanced excel You'll have some key technical skills and educational¦ - A good Degree in a quantitative subject (maths, engineering, physical sciences) - Proven experience of delivering analytical tools in a commercial environment - Passionate about data and data visualisation; able to communicate this with enthusiasm - An understanding of pricing & revenue management concepts and strategies. - A keen eye for detail, ability to work under pressure and deliver time-sensitive work to a high standard - A professional manner with the ability to interact with senior management when needed - The ability to explain analysis to non-numerate people and empathise with their perspective - Experience using tools such as Tableau, SQL, and other relevant leading technology.
