Demob Job Reference: j3206 Job Title: Electrically Biased Shift Maintenance Engineer Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire Salary: £31,551.62 per annum Start Date: ASAP Introduction: My client has an exciting opportunity for an electrically biased engineer at their state-of- the-art manufacturing and distribution facility in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Supervisor, you will be self-motivated and innovative in approach, capable of working within a proactive team and on your own initiative. You will be responsible for reactive breakdown repairs and planned preventative maintenance (PPM's), ensuring that all machinery and systems are achieving maximum efficiency at all times whilst adhering to the highest standards of Health & Safety. Please note that you will work a shift pattern, including earlies, lates and nights, therefore a flexible approach is essential. This presents itself as an ideal opportunity to join an established company and, although not essential, could be well suited for a person who has previously served in the Armed Forces i.e. Royal Navy, Army or Royal Air Force (RAF) with an electrically biased engineering background and mechanical skills. Responsibilities: - You will be responsible for reactive breakdown repairs and adhere to the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedule, reducing machine down time in a cost effective manner. - Ensure that Production machinery/equipment is achieving maximum efficiency and comply with all Health & Safety Requirements. - Carry out fault diagnosis and repair of a wide variety of electro-mechanical systems and other associated plant within the facility. - You will be a 'hands-on' Electrically-biased Engineer and be able to apply your previous engineering background and skills to achieve the highest levels of plant maintenance. Applicant Requirements: - The successful candidate will hold a relevant Electrical Engineering qualification with proven maintenance background. - Proven mechanical skills. - Strong knowledge of fault finding and diagnosis. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Highly motivated. - Self-starter with can do attitude. - Enjoy problem solving. - Team player with the ability to work on own initiative. - Flexible approach to work. Benefits: - Annual salary £31,552.62 (includes shift allowance). - Rotating 4 week shift pattern; week one - 6am - 2pm Monday to Friday, week two - 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday, week three 10pm - 6am Monday to Friday, week four 6am - 4pm Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. - 20 days holiday + bank holidays. - Pension scheme. - Opportunity to join an established and very reputable company.
