About you: If you are an experienced and highly competent Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant with a keen eye for detail and a passion for getting things right first time, this could be the role for you. You would report directly to our Director and have support from our Finance Director. Your experience will have been gained in SMEs, which will have helped to shape your positive and confident approach to tackling challenges. You do this with resilience and tenacity to ensure that the right outcomes are met for clients and the business alike. You will be a proactive self-starter with a friendly manner and able to work at pace whilst remaining calm under pressure. Primary Responsibilities: * Assisting in the management of accounts and processing across a number of companies * Processing of sales and purchase invoices * Reconciliation of customer and supplier accounts * Processing of supplier payment runs and facilitating payments * Assisting in the preparation of payroll, expense claims and pensions * Assist in updating company cash flow forecasts * Work to a structured operating programme, ensuring all accounts duties are fulfilled first time, on time * Perform reconciliations of various accounts to ensure completeness and correctness of financial transactions * Chase overdue debtors * Deal with supplier queries * Reconciliation of company bank accounts * Contributing to ensuring financial policies and procedures are up to date and adhered to * Providing an external interface with banks, accountants, customers and suppliers Requirements/Skills: * At least 4+ years' experience working in the finance department in a similar role in an SME * Part qualified/ AAT/ qualified by experience * Computer literate and proficient with MS office applications * Strong organisation skills and able to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of timelines and budgets * Strong working knowledge of accounting systems including payroll * Ambition to grow professionally in a highly flexible and fast-moving environment To be considered for this role, please apply today.
