As a talent manager, we appreciate the differences as well as the synergies evident across our business. Job Description ENGIE are recruiting for a HR Apprentice to be based in London. This is a fixed term (initial 2 years) full time role (working 37.5 hours per week) with a competitive salary of between 17,500.00 to 19,500.00 per annum. At ENGIE, we are looking to recruit an apprentice who is keen to begin their career within the HR function. Over an initial to year period, you will work in 2-3 core placements, working with different teams to gain experience across multiple areas. The first 12-month placement will sit with the Talent Team, before progressing on to other central teams such as Recruitment, Learning and Development or the Advisory Team for a period of 6-12 months In your first placement, you will be reporting to the Early Careers Talent Manager for the UK. You will be responsible for supporting on a number of Talent initiatives, supporting predominantly our Graduate, Internship and Apprenticeship programmes but also helping to support the Emerging and Aspiring Leaders You will work closely alongside the HR and operational communities across our three Divisions: Services, Energy Solutions and Energy Infrastructure to help integrate our Early Careers activities into the broader talent and career development strategy. This is a very exciting and broad role offering someone with determination and an innovative spirit to make a significant impact whilst gaining general HR experience. The successful candidate will be provided with the opportunity to complete a fully certified Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration over an initial 24 month period, with opportunities to then go on to pursue a more generalist HR career path and study towards a CIPD qualification Duties/ Responsibilities Graduate, Intern and Apprenticeship Programmes: - Working with the Head of Talent, Talent Manager and delivery partners to support in the growth, running and managing our existing Early Careers programmes within the UK. - Responsible for monitoring the Early Careers mailbox, managing candidate queries and communications, providing a first point of contact to candidates and the business for all queries - Supporting the team with organising events, booking careers fairs and graduate training sessions and managing invoice payments - Supporting with graduate assessment centres and insight days, dealing with candidate enquiries, providing co-ordination support on the day, processing expense claims and managing the subsequent offer process - Supporting the Talent Manager in the assessment of new apprenticeship roles, managing the government DAS account and working with training providers - Assisting with the annual recruitment strategy review, running stats reports and data analytics - Supporting the Talent Manager with the graduate on-boarding and induction process - Supporting with the design and delivery of the Industrial Placement/Summer Intern programmes in 2018 - Run various reports, working with SAP and the SSC team, and responsible for advertising apprenticeship roles through the DAS account - Supporting the development of a new Apprenticeship engagement plan - Supporting with the delivery of the annual Apprentice Awards Ceremony and submissions for other awards Wider Talent Management: - Supporting the Head of Talent with the delivery of the Emerging Leaders and Aspiring Leaders programmes - Supporting with event logistics, processing invoices and booking training - Supporting with succession planning initiatives by providing data analytics, tracking populations and gathering feedback from post-course feedback surveys to highlight changes and improvements - Planning and delivering bi-monthly workshops to highlight different business areas - Researching and putting together content for website case studies and liaising with business development teams - Supporting the MBA nominations process and associated administration - Maintaining specified projects and ongoing tasks as requested by the Head of Talent and Talent Manager - Maintaining retention statistics and leadership population reports On completion of this placement, you will move to your next placement within the HR function. Qualities / essential requirements: - A genuine desire and commitment to pursue a career in HR - Strong organisational skills and ability to multi-task and work under pressure - Excellent customer services - Excellent communication skills, with solid writing ability - Self-motivating and able to work independently - Comfortable working with data and providing statistical reports - Comfortable with occasional UK travel Desired Qualifications - A minimum of grade C GCSEs in Mathematics and English - 3 A-levels (or equivalent) either predicted or achieved Grade A* - C Other information - Working week - 37.5hours per week - Salary range - £17,500.00 to £19,500.00 per annum Important Information "QA's apprenticeship programmes may be funded in part by the European Union through the European Social Fund, which supports the development of employment opportunities and a skilled workforce."
