Technical Application/Customer Support Manager Background The company has an opportunity for a professional Technical/Applications Support Engineer to join their team in their Specialist Wound Component Test Equipment Product Sales and Marketing Group The Role Technical Application/Customer Support Manager This will be an important and dynamic position with the company, as it provides the main point of contact for customers and potential customer management The role has responsibility to ensure that all customers receive answers to their questions, problems and issues promptly and clearly. The role will provide a broad range of customer interaction, over a variety of topics, with considerable opportunity for personal career progression, and professional experience. This will include - Ensuring all customers are kept under active management and all customers requests and issues are dealt with promptly and clearly . - Understanding customers market segment, their use of our products, and level of satisfaction with our products. - Assisting any potential new customers to understand the scope and benefits of our solutions, and to providing any requested information (e.g. quotes for product, technical documentation or providing test result samples and programs for individual customer wound component samples worked test examples etc.. - Contributing to the general well being of customers and raising their profile within the company The Person Will have a relevant engineering degree or equivalent and have some experience of providing technical support to customers Will have an excellent understanding of the transformers requirements used in electronic products Will be enthusiastic - wants to understand customers and their needs Will have a confident attitude and a willingness to develop Will be able to quickly develop an understanding of customer requirements and how the company products can help them in their business Will be outgoing - a good telephone manner and written communication skills Will be organized, ambitious and able to multi task Salary - will be commensurate with experience and ability and will afford considerable opportunity for advancement
