There's never been a more exciting time to join our business. As our Product Specialist will own the development of the hardware products from cradle to grave. You will listen to the voice of the customer and use data gathered from outside and within the business to continuously innovate and improve the products to deliver class-leading hardware and peripherals to our customer base. You will work with 3rd party suppliers and manufacturers, internal teams and customers to perfect the products, iron out faults and reduce returns and complaints. You will constantly drive to develop the best products in the industry. By supporting development of the product vision, objectives and product roadmap you will be able to undertake and communicate the results of the technical analysis in a way that ensures there are clarity and sign-off on requirements and specifications. Ownership of product design, specification and outsourced manufacture and delivery of hardware from conceptual understanding to finished product is a major part of this role and will give you an ongoing sense of pride in our products. What we look for: - Deep technical architecture understanding of hardware including the following: Tablets (Android and iOS) Windows Desktop/IoT hardware and Connectivity (USB/Bluetooth/Wifi/Network) - Good understanding of electronics/micro electronics issues particularly power consumption/battery optimisation and reliability issues - Knowledge of O/S customisation and deployment, particularly Android ROMs, would be advantageous - Knowledge of and ideally experience in building system software components such as drivers etc - Experience/knowledge of manufacturing issues such as quality, factory testing, return rates etc. - Highly self-motivated and driven to deliver high-quality products on time and to budget - Exceptional attention to detail - Great communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels inside and outside the company What we offer: With state of the art offices and our fun and friendly working atmosphere, it's no wonder that our culture is unmatched anywhere else in Norwich.
