Design Engineer (F1 Exhaust Systems): An experienced Design Engineer is required to lead and manage the design requirements associated with the fabrication of F1 exhaust systems. The Design Engineer will be responsible for the design of the tooling and jigs which will involve interpreting CAD files and drawings, and liaising with the Production Manager and the design and engineering departments of F1 teams and F1 engine builders. A knowledge of exhaust systems, and competency in SolidWorks would be highly beneficial. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading provider of exhaust systems to the worldwide motorsports industry (F1, NASCAR, World Rally Championship etc.) for more than 30 years. As a development and production partner for engine builders and race teams, the company helps design and fabricate exhaust systems by utilising an experienced workforce and well-equipped workshop. Main duties and responsibilities: *Design and development of products to meet customer specifications *Design of tooling and fixturing *Liaison with customers on design issues and suggested improvements *Liaison with in-house fabricators and machinists *Maintenance of an in-house Customer Part Library The ideal candidate should have: *Competent with Solidworks or equivalent 3D CAD system *Strong engineering background, preferably with experience in the field of exhaust design and production *Interest and knowledge of fabricated and machined parts desirable *Methodical approach with good verbal and visual communication skills, dynamic personality, ability to present themselves in a confident manner *Ability to work under pressure *Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team *Strong organisational skills *Awareness of confidentiality requirements This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Design Engineer to make a real impact in a rewarding and challenging role offering high levels of responsibility.
